Feline stationmaster Tama celebrated her 16th birthday at Kishi Station surrounded by about 300 fans from across the country and abroad.

在來自全日本與海外約300名粉絲的包圍下，日本貴志站貓站長小玉歡度16歲生日。

Tama, whose age is equivalent to 80 in human years, also serves as acting president of Wakayama Electric Railway Co., operator of the Kishigawa Line.

年齡相當於人類80歲的小玉，同時擔任負責貴志川線營運的和歌山電鐵公司之代理社長。

"Thanks to Tama-chan, the Kishigawa Line became known not only in Japan but also in the world," Mitsunobu Kojima, president of the company, said at the calico cat’s birthday celebration on April 29. "I believe she will live to 20 in cat years and 100 in human years."

「託小玉的福，貴志線如今不僅已名聞全日本，還享譽海外，」和歌山電鐵社長小嶋光信4月29日在花貓小玉的慶生會上如是說。「我相信牠會活到貓齡20歲，也就是人類的100歲。」

Among the guests were Azumi Konishi, a fifth-grader at Kinokawa city’s Naka-Kishi Elementary School, and her sister, Kokona, a second-grader at the school. They stop by to see the stationmaster after school every day.

祝福賓客中包括紀之川市的中貴志小學小五生小西愛純，與同校念小二的妹妹心心和。姊妹倆每天放學後都來看貓站長。

"She is so cute when she lies down and rolls on her back," Azumi, 10, said. "I want her to stay healthy for a long time."

「牠躺著滾動的樣子好可愛，」10歲的愛純說。「我希望牠一直健健康康。」
