This photograph taken yesterday shows a view of New Taipei City's Bitan Bridge (碧潭吊橋) that spans Xindian Creek. New Taipei City Government yesterday held a meeting and decided to designate the bridge a historic landmark. The city government said Bitan Bridge represents a collective memory of New Taipei citizens and an important cultural asset to the city, therefore the city government will preserve the bridge for posterity.
