英語可以是很複雜的，同義字很多還可能改變整個句子的意思。

"I used to say I am wet when I meant to say I am sweating"(我經常會說我全身濕透透，其實我的意思是汗流浹背)。當汗流浹背時，人本來就會全身濕透，但是你不能說'I am wet'(我全身濕透透)，因為意思並不正確。

混合"confusing"(令人困惑)、"well"(很好)與"good"(好)："My English is not very well"(我的英文感到不是很好)，有英文生病的意思，你有聽說過語言生病了嗎？你要使用"good"(好)而不是"well"(很好)。例如："My English is not very good" (我的英文不是很好)。
