Broad 和 wide 這兩個形容詞的意思都是「寬闊的；寬廣的」，但它們的含意和用法不盡相同。譬如說，在 Cindy stared at her boyfriend with wide eyes. (辛蒂睜大眼睛注視著她的男友) 這句中，只能用 wide，不能用 broad。
