曾經碰過有譯者提出怕自己翻的不夠好，希望可以有第三者幫忙校稿。

這樣的想法很好，對自己的翻譯負責，觀念也正確，自己看自己寫出來的東西都會覺得超棒，好像諾貝爾文學獎得主一樣。也因此，自己看自己的東西就容易產生盲點，發現不到錯誤。

這種所有格亦可用 of 結構來表示，因此時間名詞為複數時的所有格符號 (‘) 或時間名詞為單數時的 ‘s，可用 of 來代替，如 5 days’ leave = 5 days of leave (五天的休假)；a year’s wait = a year of wait (一年的等待)。當時間名詞的後面沒有所屬的名詞時，該時間名詞無論單複數都不可加上所有格符號。例如：

• Shirley has worked for that big company for more than one year’. (雪莉已為那家大公司工作了超過一年) (誤)
• I’ve been waiting here for two hours’. (我已在這裡等了兩個鐘頭) (誤) － 這句若用 of 結構來代替就變成 I’ve been waiting here for two hours of.，顯然錯得離譜。

除了時間名詞外，距離、長度、價值、重量等名詞亦可使用這種以 apostrophe 來表示的所有格結構，如 two hours’ walk/flight/drive (兩小時的步行或路程/飛行/車程)，a cable’s length (電纜的長度)，a dollar’s worth (of apples) (價值一元的蘋果)，two tons’ weight (兩噸重)。

當時間名詞為單數時，所有格符號 (apostrophe) (‘) 係加在 s 的前面，即 ‘s，如 one day’s wage (一天的工資)，the week’s proceeds (本週的收入)，today’s young people (今日的年輕人)，this evening’s storm (今晚的暴風雨)。若時間名詞為複數，則所有格符號加在 s 的後面，即 s’，如 two days’ wage (兩天的工資)，3 years’ salary (三年的薪水)。

For the first time in Saudi Arabia, a woman has been named editor-in-chief of a daily newspaper published in the kingdom.

The English-language Saudi Gazette announced on its Web site that Somayya Jabarti will take the helm at the newspaper. Her predecessor Khaled Almaeena wrote on Feb. 16 that Jabarti has worked with him for almost 13 years and is a determined and dedicated journalist.

Five people are now confirmed dead in Wednesday's deadly building explosion in New York City's famous Harlem neighborhood.

Rescue crews worked past midnight searching through the rubble to locate nine other people who were still missing after a gas leak caused an explosion that leveled two apartment buildings.  At least 63 people were injured.

Thick smoke from the buildings could be seen throughout much of Manhattan.  The blast sent debris over several blocks across the neighborhood and a nearby commuter rail line, suspending train service in and out of Grand Central Station for much of the day.

Residents in a nearby building called officials at energy company Consolidated Edison to report the smell of natural gas just minutes before the explosion. 

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio called the incident "a tragedy of the worst kind" because it happened with no time to save people.

Hundreds of visitors lined up outside the Taipei Zoo before it opened its doors yesterday morning in the hopes of catching a glimpse of Taiwan's first panda cub, Yuan Zai, on the first weekend of her public debut. The cub was born on July 6, 2013, following four years of attempts at artificial insemination for mother Yuan Yuan using sperm from father Tuan Tuan. Thousands of Ecuadoreans in elaborate devil masks and red costumes dance wildly in the streets of this Andean town for the "La Diablada de Pillaro," or the Devils of Pillaro festival. Some say the festival, which runs from Dec. 28 to Jan. 6, began in the 1940s when the mainly farming families of Pillaro would gather at the end of the year to discuss their lives. The meetings would extend late into the night and end in tales of devils and souls in pain.
